Do you like basketball??? I am not a huge fan----but we've got one of those "pools" going at work. A mass e-mail was sent out to everyone and it cost $5 to be in it. I decided not to participate----I don't think I would do well in picking who would win the games.
I am fighting off some sort of something---I came home from work on Friday feeling like crap!! Just aching all over---I went straight to bed. Now I've got a hacking cough...and I pee when I cough (lol).....I've been taking some over-the-counter cough medication. It does help some---but not much.
Glenn took me out for breakfast this morning----I loaded up on orange juice while we were there. Not sure that is helping much either. Well---I will give it a few more days and if I am not better, then I will call the good ole doc who will graciously take my co-pay to tell me that I have a virus.
Jade is off to the barn this afternoon---her and her friends.....ah, the teen years....mom gets left behind. It's all cool though----I love the little bit of piece and quiet that I do get.
I have some new pis of Jade and Sonny that I should really post soon. Maybe I will try to do that after I do this entry.
So----I booked rooms at Virginia Beach for Jade's family reunion----yep, I told everyone come hell or high water I am going to Jade's family reunion this year. Now whether Jade goes along or not---well that's a different story. I did make the reservation for 2. I am sure she will change her mind and go along.
I am off to see what's going on in the blogging world----I don't spend much time here--I am either on Facebook or My Space.

Finally Friday
I am glad that today is finally Friday--it's been a rather long week.
My brother is coming over for a visit this weekend. We're taking him with us to Comedy Club tonight over at the motel. Raymond the Amish Comic is there tonight--that should be funny. Can't wait to go.
I think winter is finally leaving us. It's around 50 today---I love it!!

Hello!
Can't believe it's March already!
For starters, the wedding is on hold indefinitely. I am just really not sure that I want to get married right now. Granted we've known each other a long time and are great friends, but I am just not sure that I want to commit to someone as insecure as he is. For instance, if I am out running errands or taking Jade out to drop her off at the barn and I am not back home by the time he thinks I should be---he's calling me..."Where are you at?" It's frustrating. I am trying to be good and get back on the diet wagon----guess what??? He doesn't like the fact that we have a gym here at work and that I stay late several nights a week to work out. He's actually told me to not go to the gym after work..."just come straight home." Why do people change when you move in with them or marry them???
Onward----guess what we did a few weeks ago??? Registered Jade for classes at the high school!! I cannot believe my baby will be going to high school this fall!!! Amazing, isn't it???
Jade's doing great....Sonny is doing great. The first horse show of the season is coming up at the end of this month. Jade's been trying to teach me how to show Sonny in halter classes. (lol) I don't know if I will do it or not, but it's still fun to learn.

A year in review-----2008
Last year when many of us were blogging over in AOL J-land, we were "challenged" to look back over the previous year and do an entry regarding the first entry of each month in our blogs. It was interesting to go back over the year and list the high lights. So here's my 2008 year in review.....hope to see yours soon!
JANUARY 2008 ----> Not a lot of posts in January, but I did learn through quizzes that I am a 70% tortured genius.
FEBRUARY 2008----> I lost my job due to new owners at my place of employment---they let all the "old" management go.
I used to have shoulder length hair----I decided that it was time for a change. I got it ct short and was even sporting a new color.
I received a NICE MATTERS award on my blog from my good friend Sunny who lives in California.
MARCH 2008 --> I spent much of March searching for a new job. I interviewed with a former employer and they hired me back....I start in April.
APRIL 2008 ----> I started my new job with a former employer.
I also discovered through qizzes tha I am a BUSY BEE, a HAZELNUT, and CORNFLAKES!!
MAY 2008 -----> My daughter Jade fell from the horse she was riding at a horse show and broke her wrist.
A fellow that I have known for 14 years asked me out for dinner.
JUNE 2008 ----> My eldest nephew died from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
Glenn and I are officially dating.
I was finally able to give Jade her very own horse. "Sonny" came home on June 30.
JULY 2008 ----> I turned 41!!!!!
We got a new kitten --- "Simba"
AUGUST 2008 ------> Glenn gave me a huge diamond and wants to get married. We did set a tentative date.
My car was demolished in a car crash on August 20th.
Jade took Sonny to the county fair and showed him in his first ever horse show. It was great to see that all Jade's hard work over the summer paid off. They brought home a first and second place ribbon.
I always bake goodies and put them in the fair for judging----my cookies got 1st place and my pie came in 5th.
SEPTEMBER 2008 ----> I started another job. Since Glenn and I were dating, I decided that I didn't want to work in same place as he, so I found another job. This one I plan on staying at for a while.
Jade started 8th grade.
My aunt passed away. I now have only one aunt still living.
OCTOBER 2008 ----> Jade turned 14
NOVEMBER 2008 ---> We moved in with Glenn.
DECEMBER 2008 ----> It was great to get to spend some time with a few of my siblings this Christmas.
