Couldn't come up with a catchy title...so I just used the date.

I am just now finishing up beginner's obedience and agility training with my beagle. We have one more class left. Then I think it's on to novice classes. They introduced agility this evening and Maddie seems to be picking up on it quite well. It will be a while before I can enter her in any shows or anything like that.

So, Jade's done with school--finally!! They just got done last Wednesday.

We are heading off on vacation next week. I am taking Jade to her family reunion in Virginia Beach, VA....this will be our first time there---to Virginia Beach and to the family reunion. We usually hang out at Rehoboth and Dewey in Delaware. We do have plans to stop there either on the way to or on the way back from Virginia. Should be an interesting time---haven't seen any of that family since Jade's dad passed away nearly 3 years ago.

I am getting ready to go to bed...now that school is out I can get up and get to work super early---stay late and leave early on Fridays!! I love it!

Summer is upon us

Time certainy flies by. I am lucky to get a post in every now and then. Mostly I just don't have the time like I used to or I will sit here and type an entire post and blogger gives me an error message. Sometimes I have to ask myself "Is it worth it?"

School is almost done for the year....my baby will go to high school in the fall. We'll be leaving in about 3 weeks to go to her family reunion---that should be quite the event. Don't worry---will have lots of pics.

Jade's got a big secret---she doesn't really want anyone to know---but I am going to spill the beans. She was accepted as a state finalist in a teen pageant. However, we are looking for sponsors--and need $440 by Monday to hold her spot. If we don't get it---then so be it. I've already hit the pavement here in our town with no luck.

My sister was in an auto accident a few weeks ago. She dropped her husband off at work and then was going home--she blacked out and crashed into a parked truck. Thank goodness she was OK and did not hit anyone!!!

Maddie was to the vet yesterday. She was spayed. She is doing ok for the moment. She goes back in about 8 to 10 days to get her stitches removed.

Gotta go get ready for work!

Whoa!! I can't believe it's Memorial Day weekend already!!

My town is having a huge celebration like they always do....they claim that it's the "birthplace" of Memorial Day. But then again, I am sure there are many other places who lay claim to the same thing. There's a big parade today and then lots of stuff going on this Monday.

Summer is going to be really busy for us. We'll be going on vacation in about 5 weeks. We're going to Jade's family reunion in Virginia Beach. I am kind of excited to go.

I just tried to do a post....didn't work...I got a "bad request". I think that was why I didn't post any pictures the last time.

I am uncertain about the future of this blog. I don't post a lot like I used to. But I am very active on Facebook and My space, so if any of my regular followers want to keep up with me in that aspect, send me a note or comment and I will give you information on how to find me there.

Hope you all had a great mother's day. Mine was spent quietly at home --just as I like it! Jade made me some Strawberry blossoms--yummy!!

Hello, blog world!
It's hot and sunny here in PA...I am lovin' this warm weather. Now if it will just stay this way.

What's new in my world??? Not a lot--same old same old here....but I am looking for a part time job for nights and I just renewed my Mary Kay wholesale number and may start selling that again to earn some extra cash.

One of these days I will get around to posting some updated pictures on here.

Jade's been busy with horse shows, etc., since the weather is warming up. Sonny is doing good, and he loves to be in the show ring.

We're going on vacation to Virginia Beach this summer--going to Jade's family reunion. Yep...this will be the first time ever for us. It should prove interesting.

I went to the beauty salon on Thursday---I asked for my hair to be cut---and that I wanted "my ears to be cut out again..." Yeah, well---I came home pretty much scalped!! Good thing it's only hair and that it will grow back and hopefully quickly!!

I may do another entry here and post a few pics this evening.

Easter Sunday

Happy Easter everyone! I hope this a great day for you all.

We are just spending a quiet day at home. I baked a cake this morning...and then put the ham in the oven. It's starting to smell quite yummy in here. I am not going to extremes today---just ham w/pineapple, sweet potatoes, mixed veggies, and cake for dessert.

Jade had a horse show yesterday...and I had wanted to blog about that today...but Glenn is here and when I get on the computer, he LOVES to sit behind me and read everything I write and watch everything I do when I am on-line....I don't need a baby sitter...so I am going to sign off now.

March Madness

Do you like basketball??? I am not a huge fan----but we've got one of those "pools" going at work. A mass e-mail was sent out to everyone and it cost $5 to be in it. I decided not to participate----I don't think I would do well in picking who would win the games.

I am fighting off some sort of something---I came home from work on Friday feeling like crap!! Just aching all over---I went straight to bed. Now I've got a hacking cough...and I pee when I cough (lol).....I've been taking some over-the-counter cough medication. It does help some---but not much.

Glenn took me out for breakfast this morning----I loaded up on orange juice while we were there. Not sure that is helping much either. Well---I will give it a few more days and if I am not better, then I will call the good ole doc who will graciously take my co-pay to tell me that I have a virus.

Jade is off to the barn this afternoon---her and her friends.....ah, the teen years....mom gets left behind. It's all cool though----I love the little bit of piece and quiet that I do get.

I have some new pis of Jade and Sonny that I should really post soon. Maybe I will try to do that after I do this entry.

So----I booked rooms at Virginia Beach for Jade's family reunion----yep, I told everyone come hell or high water I am going to Jade's family reunion this year. Now whether Jade goes along or not---well that's a different story. I did make the reservation for 2. I am sure she will change her mind and go along.

I am off to see what's going on in the blogging world----I don't spend much time here--I am either on Facebook or My Space.
